略歴
北海道札幌出身。1975年日本大学芸術学部写真学科を卒業後、アメリカ、ロサンゼルスに移住、テレビコマーシャル 制作の仕事につく。その後サニーサイドアップ社を設立し数多くのコマーシャルの制作に従事する。1993年UCLA（カリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校） でMBA修士号を修得。1995年頃から自分の作品としての写真を撮り始める。2000年、写真を本格的に取り組むためにプロダクション会社を廃業し、 ファインアート写真家として活動を始める。以来アメリカ、日本、ヨーロッパで多数の個展を行う。多くの受賞を受け、数多くの作品が美術館に収蔵される。2011年ヴェネツィアヴィエンナーレの公式プログラム、"REAL VENICE"展に招待される。
