INSOMNIA

I keep on watching.
The images continue to exist even when I step away.
I try to recreate what I do not understand.
My heart and mind refuse to fall asleep
in their quest to f ind the answer.
What had surfaced was my consciousness
that was buried deep inside.
I see obstinance, alienation, regret, and eventually, hope.

The snow stuck on the window;
the frozen, icy road, the snow-covered mountain that blocks the view:
these images of winter abruptly come to my mind.
The senses of death that I feel from these images confuse me.
I have always ignored those visions and never thought about it.
